“Google’s latest Gmail marketing is brilliant”

Scoble mentions how the rollout of GMail addresses is a great marketing ploy by Google.

I hadn't thought of it in this way before, but that does make sense. It keeps everyone interested, because everyone wants a GMail address (since there are a limited amount of people who can get them right now), and this generates more interest in Google. Very nice.
