My Last Day At Oracle

Today's my last day at Oracle. My work experience for my Uni degree is over today, and I'll be going back to normal Uni life next semester. I'm a bit sad really, as everyone here is really, really nice and extremely helpful. I also feel a bit bad, because I have all these responsibilities, and now it falls onto my boss to train another person up to do the tasks that I have been doing. I've tried to document it all and make it as easy as possible for someone to step in and take over, but I still feel bad.

But! I haven't walked away empty handed. My stomach has ballooned, because of all the biscuits I have eaten while here (endless supply in the cupboard), and I now have a firm knowledge of Oracle 9i Database, Oracle 9i Application Server and Oracle Discoverer 9i and 10g. I've also got a fair chunk on PL/SQL and SQL programming under my belt, which will hopefully come in handy, and I've done some 9iAS Portal development, too.

Oh well. I guess I'll just have to say my goodbyes and move on…
