Back From Brisbane

Got back from Brisbane this evening, after a pretty uneventful flight. I didn't have time to post anything (not that it's very interesting) the past couple of days, but here's a rundown of what we all did:

Thursday (8th), we went down to Fortitude Valley and Chinatown and shopped around there…

Friday (9th), Lucy, Mum and I drove up to Toowoomba to see Lucy's grandfather. It was a long drive, because of an accident on the Warrego Motorway, but we had a nice lunch. We went to the Plough Inn that night to meet up with Lucy's AIESEC friends, which was fun. Had waaay too much beer, though!

Saturday (10th), we all drove up to Noosa for the day. Drove past the Glasshouse Mountains, through a couple of towns, where we had lunch, and bought ice cream from Massimo's in Noosa. I haven't had ice cream from there for years, and it still tastes just as good! We went to the Brisbane Jazz Club down in Kangaroo Point that night, and saw a good band called "Fetty and the Boys". They all seemed quite young, and apparently they've all just come out of the Queensland Conservatorium.

Today (the 11th), we had a great breakfast down at the river, and Lucy and I cooked lunch for the family. In the afternoon, we just bummed around and headed off to the airport!

So now I'm back at home… I have to go to Uni this week for a subject I'm doing these holidays. Ergh.

I've posted some photos up, as well.

Glad you enjoyed ‘Fetty and the Boys’. They are a great group of very talented musos, originally from Sheldon College and now at the Con. Making quite a name for themselves around the traps.
