MacBlog mentions the recent 1.1 release of Stattoo. I'm using Konfabulator right now, but if Panic introduced an AirPort widget/module for Stattoo, I'd probably use it. (In addition to the battery module.)

The SMH has an article on the TV series "Kath and Kim": Look at moiye!. Not everyone finds it funny, but I do. ![]()
DrunkenBlog has a post on the new version of AdiumX that is coming out soon.

In response to Erik's QotD, I would have to say my favourite app(s) are Adium and LaunchBar. LaunchBar. LaunchBar. LaunchBar.
EDIT: Would help if I actually linked to his post and sent a trackback, huh?
I had a chance to use MyTunes (by Bill Zeller) tonight on Ben (my flatmate's Windows laptop), while copying some songs over (which we both own the CDs to, of course… it's just that we can't be bothered to rip it again… *ahem*) from my computer. It worked very well, and was extremely quick. I'm surprised how smooth it was!
I haven't found anything that works as well as it for the Mac, though.

I ordered a pair of Koss Plugs a week and a half ago from Minidisc.com.au and received them the next business day, costing me just over AU$50…
I had heard good things about these earphones/earplugs, and like them a lot now. It's a bit weird at first, shoving bits of foam into your ears, and I couldn't get one of the earplugs in properly at first, but it fits well now. The sound is incredible, compared to the normal Apple earphones, with a lot more bass that what you would expect from something that size. They also have the added bonus of blocking out a lot of the background noise. I can now listen to songs on the train at about 50% volume on my iPod (and about 25% elsewhere), compared to 75% with the normal earphones. (My ears are thanking me.)
The main reason I got these earphones (over a pair of headphones) is because I don't want to have to lug around a large pair of headphones… especially at Uni where they're likely to be a massive pain. In the future I might go and buy a pair to use at home, but for now, these will suffice.
Courtesy of Michael Heilemann, I found a patch for the xmlrpc.php file in WordPress 1.2 that allows for image uploading and other features when using ecto or MarsEdit. The post is here.
I installed a new plugin for WordPress today, called Kitten's Spam Words, which I found on Dougal Campbell's post on comment spamming.
The plugin allows me to delete particular comments and mark them as spam. Future comments with similar attributes are automatically added to the moderation queue, which is nice.
I also thought about using the Spammer Tar Pit or Kitten's Comment Pay, but thought it would be a bit harsh. That's not to say it wouldn't be fun, though. ![]()
