Bride & Prejudice

Lucy and I saw this wonderful movie tonight. Normally, I'm not such a fan of soppy, romantic movies, but this was different.

Bride & Prejudice is basically an adaption of Jane Austen's novel, "Pride & Prejudice" (didn't see that coming), with a twist of Bollywood. I hadn't actually seen any Bollywood movies before, but I really enjoyed it! The vibrant colours and music were great, and the movie wasn't too serious.

My favourite scene had to be where Lalita and Darcy were walking along the beach, and they walk past a group of gospel singers (singing), and then two lifeguards (Baywatch style), as well as a bunch of surfers, all singing along and moving with the song!

After seeing the movie, I'm motivated to sit down and watch the copy of Kal Ho Naa Ho that's sitting in the lounge room (and which my flatmate has been raving about for ages). I'd also LOVE to go to an Indian wedding, just to see the dancing!
