Tiger Features

I came across Apple's list of new features in Tiger via the Karelia Software blog… and boy, are there heaps!

I've noticed some duplicates, but here are a couple that stand out for me (apart from Spotlight, Dashboard, XCode 2.0, etc):

  • Mobile Home Directories - "Centrally manage the home directories of your portable Mac clients and yet allow each user online and offline access from the office and the road."
  • PDF Annotations - "View and create annotations to a PDF document from Preview." (Yay!)
  • Buddy groups and Jabber support in iChat

    Hi Jeremy,

I have been really interested in your blog and have come across a number of good observations that you have made about Apple. Not only that, i am very pleased to see that a person of your age can make great suggestions, which i am looking at implementing. I was wonderingif you could please contact me as i’d love for your advice on a number of projects that are currently underway.

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Jeremy,

You are quite the insightful young man. Your articles have proven an interesting read. You pose many rather intriguing perspectives on a myriad of subjects. I have often contemplated how a young man of such high calibre has not already been ’scooped’ up already. Jeremy, I write to you in the hope of a positive response to a personal request. You are an extremely intelligent young man with the ideas to match. Your expertise is an invaluable asset for any company, as such Jeremy, I am extending a job offer your way. How would you like to join the Microsoft team? One day I wont be fit enough to run it and I will need an ‘heir to the thrown’ so to speak. What do you think? Please take this seriously as an opportunity like this only comes once in a lifetime.

    Warm Regards,

    Bill.
