In my rush to answer the door on Saturday (being the excellent host that I am… *cough*), I managed to trip over my laptop's power cord. Under normal circumstances, this would have been fine - had the PowerBook not been attached to it at the time! There was a *crack*, as the PowerBook hit the coffee table (at least I think that was it), and it fell to the ground. I didn't see any problems with it (and it's still working now), but afterwards the power light (the one that glows green and red in the power socket) wasn't lighting up.
Dammit.
Turns out something got messed up in the power adapter when I tripped (thankfully not in the laptop). $129 later and I'm back up and running again.
Relieved… but still, dammit.

Macally has replacement power adapters for about $30. Helped me a bunch when my iBook G4’s adapter died.
Ahhh… fudge. Too late now. I ended up buying a new adapter, and got a MacBook Pro soon after.
Thanks for the tip, though!
