We're still in Vang Vieng, soaking up the atmosphere and relaxing. What's not to love when we're surrounded by beautiful rivers and mountains?
We went tubing yesterday down the Nam Song (I think the name is right), which involved floating down the river on an inflatable rubber tyre, meeting other tourists, drinking and eating and swinging from great heights into the water. Quite possibly the most tourist-y activity I've done on this trip. But oh so fun!
The scenery along the river was breathtaking - I wish I had more time to enjoy it and take in the beauty. (It's very "thinky", to use Manasi's word.) I can't believe that there's this little slice of paradise tucked in between Thailand and Vietnam!
