Hi,

I really enjoyed reading this post about your family trip to the Northern areas of Pakistan. Although I have lived over 22 years outside of the country, it pains me to see the news and what has been happening in the country more recently. Thanks for sharing the side of Pakistan that rarely gets talked about in the media - yet, is what this country is mostly about. Khadija

I have lived in the big cities as well as small cities of Pakistan and guess what, the most beautiful, peaceful and secure place for my family was in Swat and Naran - just 2 yrs before Taliban started ruining it all. It's incredible how many colors and varied cultures exist in Pakistan. Even more incredible is when a foreigner shares his unbiased experiences of Pakistan. It was wonderful to see youtube videos of AIESEC and reading your blog was great too. I say amen to your last para regarding your parents and also for other westerners. Thanks for sharing your memories which made my day :)
